John Lennon Was A Crazy Cat Lady!
…that, according to MentalFloss.com. They’ve compiled an exhaustive(!) list of John Lennon‘s pets – mostly cats – a few dogs, on their web site.
The first cat John had he named ‘Elvis’, which ended up being misnamed when ‘he’ ‘gave birth to a litter of kittens in a cupboard! As you might expect, John had even more creative names for his cats through the years, naming them everything from ‘Jesus’ to ‘Salt’ and ‘Pepper’ – the latter black and white cats respectively.
I can relate to ‘offbeat’ pet names. I had a fluffy white cat that I named ‘Spot’, or ‘Spot Kitty’…though she had none!
