Sunday night was a night of elegance, stardom, honors, fun and festivities! In a star-studded ceremony, this year’s Kennedy Center Honors were given to Meryl Streep, Barbara Cook, Sonny Rollins and Neil Diamond and world-famous Chinese-American cellist, Yo-Yo Ma . Comedian and philanthropist Bill Cosby introduced Rollins’ segment; he called the jazz saxophonist “a giant of this most American art form.”Diamond was introduced by John Lithgow, who referred to Diamond as “an American classic.” A two-hour version of the evening will be broadcast Dec. 27 on CBS.
